Collagen induction therapy
Microneedling
Microneedling meticulously penetrates through skin layers. This stimulates the production of collagen, which corrects damage, smooths, tightens, and improves the skin’s appearance.
What is microneedling?
Microneedling is an excellent option for patients of all skin types. It works by creating micro injuries to the epidermis (outer layer of skin) and dermis (the inner layer of skin). As a result, it encourages the body’s innate ability to repair itself. To emphasize, this treatment stimulates new collagen growth. In addition, microneedling helps correct and prevent fine lines and wrinkles. Further, it improves scars from acne or other injuries. What’s more, microneedling improves skin texture and reduces stretch marks.

What can I expect?
Expectations
Microneedling encourages collagen production using our bodies’ wound healing response. This process works in four phases:
- One: 1-3 days after the treatment the skin experiences inflammation. This stimulates the development of new collagen.
- Two: 3-5 days after the treatment new growth factors multiply. This generates new collagen and tissue.
- Three: 5-20 days after the treatment growth factors continue to release collagen.
- Four: 28 days to 2 years after treatment the maturation stage of new, healthy skin takes place. Tissue continues to improve and the patient notices an improvement in skin tone and quality.
