Xeomin

Xeomin is a neuromodulator and a form of botulinum toxin that is very similar to Botox. Unlike Botox, it is manufactured through a unique and precise process that isolates the botulinum toxin molecule and removes all extra surrounding proteins.

Because it is a more purified and clean molecule, it lessens the chance of developing resistant antibodies against the botulinum toxin – thus rendering the product ineffective.

Furthermore, because of it’s pure toxin, it has the potential to work faster and last longer.

Can I use Xeomin instead of Botox?

People sometimes develop an immunity to the large Botox® molecule and may find that it may not last as long. If that is the case, Xeomin® may be a perfect alternative. One good thing is that the dosing units we use is exactly the same, so we will be able to convert you in one simple step. The skilled injector performs the procedure in about 10 minutes. The wrinkle reduction treatment provides a more youthful look by the temporary elimination of forehead lines and wrinkles, frown lines, and crows feet wrinkles.

The practitioner first marks the exact injection points with a white makeup pencil, asks you to frown, raise your eyebrows, and smile widely, and conducts a personalized assessment of your facial anatomy to determine the best treatment for achieving optimal results.

The procedure lasts only a few minutes. The practitioner injects the patient with a small-gauge needle that minimizes any discomfort. Using the marked points as a guide, the practitioner proceeds with injections and determines the minimum amounts needed to achieve the desired effect.

How do I prepare for Xeomin?

It’s essential that you notify your practitioner if you’ve received other kinds of injections in the three months prior to your appointment. Avoid using medicines, such as aspirin, ibuprofen and other drugs that thin the blood prior to your treatment. These may increase bleeding and bruising risks. Furthermore, be sure to tell your practitioner if you’re taking any allergy drugs, muscle relaxers or sleep aids.

Is Xeomin painful?

With topical anesthetic, Xeomin injections can be virtually painless. Even without a numbing agent, pain is minimal, and you may only feel a little pinch. Injections are very quick and with a trained bionwoRx injector, you may not even notice when they happen.
