Frequently asked questions.

What are dermal fillers?

Dermal fillers are comprised o hyaluronic acid, a substance that is naturally produced by the human body. It plays a major role in keeping the skin hydrated and volumized. As we age, hyaluronic acid production slows. The rate at which is slows varies, which is why the aging process looks different from person to person.

Are dermal fillers safe?

Dermal fillers are safe if the treatment is performed by an experienced practitioner with extensive knowledge of facial anatomy. Results are reversible by injecting an enzyme that breaks down hyaluronic acid.

Do dermal filler injections hurt?

We take patient comfort seriously at bionwoRx. While pain is typically minimal, we recognize everyone has a unique tolerance, especially in sensitive areas. We can numb the area with topical anesthetic and we have a variety of ‘distraction devices’ available to you. You may experience sensitivity, light swelling or small bruises following the treatment.

When will I see results?

Results are visible immediately after the treatment, although minor swelling may alter the final result. You can appreciate the full benefits 1 to 2 weeks following treatment.

The most common areas include temples, under-eyes, nasolabial folds, marionette lines, cheekbones, jowls, jawline, chin and lips.

How much do dermal fillers cost?

The cost per treatment varies by product, location and desired results. We will recommend a product that is suitable for your needs in order to provide safe, natural and long-lasting results that meet your highest expectations.

What is the difference between dermal fillers and neuromodulators?

Neuromodulators are composed of botulinum toxin, while dermal fillers are composed of hyaluronic acid.
